It seems like I have been stuck in a time and space warp ever since I stepped into this Golden City of knowledge. All of you seem distant yet tangible and really wish you were here to share this wonderful experience with me.
Having to slog through reading materials on a deadline, waking up in the morning to run to class, over working my diminutive creative brains and excercising my almost non-exsistent writing muscles have me exhausted and invigorated at the same time.
Hope all of you are doing well and please excuse my daze, in advance, for when we meet when I get back!

Closer
A love story highlighting the lack of love in relationships. Is that what relationships are all about? Validation of existence of a partner through the non-existence of love through desperation, jealousy, deceit, manipulations, obsessiveness and lust?
Maybe love is prevalent, it's just that its manifestation is convoluted into such twisted sentiments.
I don't know what makes me sadder: The absence of love or people's twisted perception of it. Or the fact that it is just not enough to simply be in love anymore.

Mischief Night
My friend's reaction after watching the movie was : How on Earth would I describe that to someone else?
I couldn't answer that. I wouldn't attempt to describe it either. It is one of those movies that makes you think for hours after. Well maybe just an hour till you get home and fall asleep since it was intellectually draining!
The movie swings from being heart warming to blood curdling. It calls to attention some very serious socio-economic issues set against religious fanaticism. A comedy with a serious undertone or a serious movie with comic relief? I am still pondering on that. Though I would definitely recommend it to friends (even though I might not be able to describe it)
